Product Description:
Datazapp’s IP Pixel service is a digital marketing tool for retargeting online visitors.
IP Pixels are strings of javascript code which are installed into the html code of websites to capture the IP addresses of the site’s visitors. Datazapp appends associated Names, Addresses, & Emails to the IP’s in real-time and displays all data in a dashboard in the client’s Datazapp account.
Implementation:
Pixel users create and manage their IP Pixels directly from their Datazapp account.
Users obtain Pixel codes by adding websites they wish to track to their dashboard. A Pixel can be placed on any websites and landing pages the client has access to and wants to track, but it’s recommended to use unique Pixel codes for different websites.
Users can visually organize the data using tools in their account dashboard, and export data accordingly into Excel files. Data can also be routed over API to a user’s preferred CRM or other platform.
Users can pause the Pixels’ tracking activity anytime, and can create & delete Pixels as needed.
Expectations:
Retargeting site visitors using IP addresses is not an exact science and yields far below 100% accuracy and capture-rate.
Datazapp intelligently ignores the vast majority of unreliable internet traffic such as bot & search engine traffic, visits through public wifi, business wifi, cellular data, VPN’s and proxies, and instead focuses on static wifi sources in single family homes. This limits the amount of site traffic eligible to be retargeted with Datazapp’s IP Pixel.
Data is matched to IP’s at the household level. Even when the correct household is matched, there is still a possibility that the data matched does not belong to the household member who visited the site.
Pricing:
Each unique IP address to which Datazapp matches a Name, Address, and Email address results in a 3 cent ($0.03) deduction from the user’s account balance.
IP’s from repeat site visitors are captured and matched but do not result in a charge within 30 days of the initial site visit. After the 30-day window, a repeat IP will result in another 3 cent charge starting a new 30-day period.
A deposit of $1,000 or more to the user’s Datazapp account balance is required to use the IP Pixel tool. When a user depletes that credit, they will add another deposit of $1,000 or more to keep the service operational.
Case Study:-
In the below case study, we look at a hypothetical example of a car dealership which implemented the IP pixel on the dealership’s website.
